Hovhannes is a serial entrepreneur, investor and scholar. He is also the founder and CEO at Picsart, the largest social platform and social editing app in the world with over 150M+ creative content creators each month and over 1B downloads to date. He founded five other startups before Picsart. All of them were acquired by multinational companies such as Lycos Bertelsmann, GFI and TeamViewer. He is also a senior lecturer in computer science at the American University of Armenia, and a visiting lecturer from San Francisco State University. The US-based company is always focused on India and caters to the millennials who are active in social media. The app brand, which enjoys a large following around the globe, is looking to expand in India and has many ambitious plans. Entrepreneur talked to Hovhannes, Picsart's Founder and CEO about creating the picture-perfect unicorn.

We want to hear about your creative side.

Although I enjoyed art, I didn't become an artist. When I was younger, I tried to go to art school. I enjoy and value creative expression. Picsart is a place I'm trying to get involved with. I already have an account there and am following others. I am experimenting with things that I can make. My view of creativity is that it's a muscle. It needs to be trained. Everyone is creative, I believe. It's all about training it.

Picsart: What was the inspiration?

This is a personal story. I was shocked when my daughter shared her work on social media and received negative comments. As a father and entrepreneur, I considered what I could do to help her and others like her be creative and create a positive atmosphere. My daughter is now an illustrator and professional artist. Picsart is also where she works.

Picsart's global presence is it significant?

Our monthly active users and installs have surpassed 1 billion. We have approximately a hundred fifty million active monthly users. We are the biggest in our category of video and photo editing apps.

Would you be willing to share information about your presence on the Indian market?

Although we aren't sharing exact numbers, our presence in India is very strong. We also saw an increase in downloads and installs during COVID. Globally, we are among the top 20 most downloaded apps. We were at 14, 15, 16, and yes, it included iOS and Android. India is one of our key contributors.

Do you have any insight into the Indian market's demographics?

One thing I can tell you is that, except in India, we have more female users than men on the markets. In India, male usage is slightly higher than female usage.

Are there any global insights you would like to share?

We are seeing the rise of the creator's economy. This is how people can make money creating content. The importance of the geographical location is decreasing. It's a huge opportunity for countries such as India. People sitting in Delhi and Bangalore can produce amazing content and make money. It is because of pandemic that it has increased. Pandemic has increased the demand for creative content. Businesses are moving towards digital. You may have noticed that small shops and restaurants are now declaring their web presence. COVID has helped accelerate technology adoption. The way we live and communicate, as well as the business we do, is changing. This leads to a huge demand for digital content. Picsart makes it easy to create content. Picsart makes it easy to create content without having to pay a lot of money or go to a designer. A smartphone and an app are all you need.

You may be recommended by your doctor to have screening tests done to monitor your health and detect conditions before they become serious.


Be open to communication. Meng said, "If you have any questions, ask your doctor." "Ensure you are satisfied with the information." Talk to your doctor if you have concerns about any medication or procedure.


Reduce Stress

It can be very detrimental to your health. It is impossible to avoid it all, but there are ways you can reduce the effects. Do not take on too many responsibilities. Set limits for yourself and others. It is okay to say no.

Deep breathing

Meditation

Yoga

Massage

Exercise

Healthy eating

Talking to a friend or family member.

Develop healthy habits

You can prevent problems from coming your way tomorrow if you make the right decisions today.


Brush your teeth twice daily and floss each day.

Don't smoke.

Limit your alcohol. Limit your alcohol intake to 1 drink per day.

Take your medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Get better sleep. Try to sleep for at least 8 hours. Talk to your doctor if you are having trouble sleeping.

Keep out of direct sunlight between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Wear your seatbelt.

Meng suggests that you take time each day to invest in your own health.


Montgomery was able to see the benefits. Montgomery says that she has overcome health issues, is happy, and has a positive outlook. She says that her life has been forever transformed.
