Mind The Value, a fast-growing company based in Italy, has established a reputation for its consulting services to support management, operations and decision-making. Giuseppe Zagami, the company's president, explains what makes Mind The Value tick and how he sees management consulting in the future.
Hello, Mr Zagami! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us despite your busy schedule. Let's start by talking about your day at work. What is a typical day like for you?
It is a pleasure to meet you. My job is not a routine. Even the most mundane day can turn out to be completely abnormal. Every day begins with a review and revision of the daily schedule. I then add any thoughts or ideas I have during the evening and night. Inspiration is an ongoing process. After breakfast, I read both national and international newspapers to keep up with the latest news. Prioritisation is the first part of my day in the office. After reviewing emails and discussing priorities with business unit managers I coordinate activities giving priority to tasks that are important to others. I discuss with top management how their teams have coordinated and planned for the next steps of a project. This focuses on their final goals and how they plan to achieve them.
My job is not a normal one. Even the most ordinary day can be completely abnormal.
It is difficult to balance the time I have to devote to client projects and programmes in order to achieve the results we expect. This is also the case for my company's internal development and coordination. I spend my mornings coordinating with clients and professionals based in Australia and APAC. In the afternoon, I concentrate on activities relating to North America and Europe. My day is divided between people management, business development, problem resolution, people management and decision-making. I also attend update meetings. My only time I can take a break from my work is when I am able to play some sport during lunch, but that isn't always possible. After a long day at work, I return home to be completely devoted to my family until the morning when things start again with renewed energy.
Mind The Value was established in 2011. Can you please tell us about the major milestones in the development of Mind The Value since then?
Our company was founded in the midst of one of the most difficult financial situations, when Italy and the rest were going through a crisis that continues to affect us all today. The search for a client who believed in us and our value proposition was the focus of the first months after foundation. Despite those difficult times, we kept our eyes open for a client who would believe in us and our value proposition. After five months of searching, the chance presented itself to us with an unanticipated but strategic opportunity. I was offered the position as managing director of a company. We were able to transform the objectives and tasks of this role into consulting services. It was a win for both of us and we were able to sign our first client.

She says, "I don’t deny myself anything." "I still enjoy dessert, key lime pie, yum!" -- I love frozen gummy bears and moderation is the key.
Get regular checkups. Your doctor will keep track of your medical history so that you can stay healthy. If you are at high risk of osteoporosis (a condition that weakens bones), your doctor may recommend more vitamin D and calcium.
You may be recommended by your doctor to have screening tests done to monitor your health and detect conditions before they become serious.
Be open to communication. Meng said, "If you have any questions, ask your doctor." "Ensure you are satisfied with the information." Talk to your doctor if you have concerns about any medication or procedure.
It can be very detrimental to your health. It is impossible to avoid it all, but there are ways you can reduce the effects. Do not take on too many responsibilities. Set limits for yourself and others. It is okay to say no.
To relieve stress, try:
