After people are deemed "no longer needing" to live (previously called "medically fit"), the multidisciplinary team, which included nurses, social workers, and therapists, was responsible for organizing discharge for all patients on pathway 1 through 3. COVID-19 funding meant that there was no discussion about who was eligible or who funded the care. The hospital was able to provide the necessary care quickly and efficiently for patients. The care was provided by short-term bridging options, NHS rehabilitation teams, private care agencies and health and social care professionals who supported people in discharge.
